So Where's Home

A short documentary on Third Culture Kid (TCK) identity

So Where's Home? explores the unique perspectives and identities of Third Culture Kids (TCKs), people who have spent a significant portion of their childhood overseas. The purpose of this short documentary project is to understand why Third Culture Kids struggle to answer the question of “where’s home?” and the implications this difficulty has on personal identity. The documentary was planned, filmed, edited, and presented as my undergraduate senior thesis project for the Georgetown University Film & Media Studies (FMST) program in 2012. After its debut screening, the documentary was shared online and now has over 250k views spread across 200 countries.
